- Position Summary
- The LabVantage LIMS Master Data Specialist will support a global LIMS implementation by setting up, aligning, cleansing, and loading Quality Control master data across multiple platforms. The role requires extensive hands-on LabVantage LIMS experience and a strong understanding of laboratory data structures in a regulated environment. The specialist will work with site and global teams to ensure local data is accurate, complete, and aligned with global standards and data principles.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform local master data setup and loading in accordance with global guidelines, governance standards, and data principles.
- Build, configure, and load required master data into the global LabVantage LIMS platform, including consumables, sampling plans, specifications, parameter lists, test methods, and Laboratory Execution System (LES) templates.
- Map and align master data across LIMS and related source or destination platforms, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and dependencies.
- Cleanse, review, and verify local data to improve completeness, consistency, accuracy, and readiness for migration or production use.
- Support data reconciliation, issue resolution, and quality checks before and after data loads.
- Develop clear local work instructions that describe how global master data processes will be executed at the site level.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, the global gLIMS team, Manufacturing Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track assigned deliverables, communicate risks or data-quality issues promptly, and complete work with limited supervision.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with applicable quality, data-integrity, and regulatory requirements.
- Required Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience using LabVantage LIMS, including master data creation, configuration, loading, or migration.
- Demonstrated experience with laboratory master data such as specifications, sampling plans, test methods, parameters, consumables, and LES templates.
- Experience aligning or transferring master data between multiple systems or platforms.
- Knowledge of Quality Control laboratory operations and related data requirements.
- Experience with data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and verification activities.
- Familiarity with cGMP, data integrity principles, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, documentation skills, and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, information systems, or related discipline is preferred. Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a global or multi-site LIMS implementation.
- Experience authoring site work instructions, SOPs, or controlled process documentation.
- Experience supporting validated computerized systems in a GxP environment.
