We're looking for a Data Migration Lead with deep, hands-on experience in the data warehousing world to own end-to-end data migration efforts across our DW and Reporting ecosystem. The ideal candidate has spent significant years as a tech lead, managed complete SDLC cycles, and can independently run the show with a data-driven approach — while communicating clearly with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities: -
· Lead data migration initiatives across DW and reporting platforms, owning design, development, and testing phases end-to-end
· Manage the complete SDLC for migration projects — requirements, planning, execution, testing, and delivery
· Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
· Build proof-of-concepts (POCs) for report analysis and log analysis to validate migration approaches and troubleshoot issues
· Define migration strategy, data mapping, and validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy and integrity
· Drive data-driven decision-making across the project lifecycle.
· Identify risks and data quality issues early, and drive resolution independently.
· Create and maintain documentation: migration plans, test cases, mapping sheets, and runbooks
· Mentor junior team members and guide the team as a technical lead
· Partner with business stakeholders, BI teams, and engineering to gather requirements and communicate migration progress, risks, and timelines
Mandatory skills
· Strong, well-rounded understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, ETL/ELT design)
· Significant years of experience working in data warehousing, including time spent in a tech lead role
· Proven track record managing end-to-end SDLC for DW/reporting projects
· Hands-on experience in ETL development and reporting
· Strong familiarity with data migration projects and methodologies
· Strong hands-on SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning, data validation)
· Experience building POCs for report and log analysis
· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
· Self-starter who can run projects independently with a data-driven mindset
· Excellent stakeholder communication skills — able to translate technical details for non-technical audiences and manage expectations across teams
