About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end AI features, ranging from data pipelines to generative AI and agentic workflows, culminating in production deployment. Your expertise will be pivotal in building and optimizing scalable, secure data pipelines across diverse enterprise environments. You will develop advanced Generative AI, agentic, machine learning, and business intelligence systems utilizing modern frameworks and methodologies. Additionally, you will implement MLOps and LLMOps practices across multiple cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP. The ideal candidate will have the autonomy to own technical workstreams, mentor junior engineers, and exercise sound judgment on model behavior, evaluation metrics, reliability, and safety guardrails. Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess an active Secret or Top Secret clearance. A minimum of five years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields is required, with demonstrated leadership in managing technical workstreams and mentoring team members. Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with the ability to work in polyglot environments such as Scala and Java, depending on client requirements. Strong experience in building agentic AI, generative AI, machine learning, and business intelligence systems is critical, including expertise in prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and modern frameworks like Spark, LangChain, Databricks, Dask, Airflow, Dagster, or Kedro. Candidates should have a proven track record of implementing AI features end-to-end, exercising sound judgment regarding model performance, evaluation, and safety. Experience in enforcing data security and governance, including handling PII/PHI, authentication, and role-based access control, is also required. Deep knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps—including CI/CD pipelines, automated agent evaluation tools, and infrastructure as code—is highly desirable. The ability to manage time effectively and work independently on complex projects is essential.

Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive AI features from data ingestion and processing pipelines to generative AI and agentic workflows, ensuring robust evaluation, safety, and reliability standards. Build and optimize scalable, secure data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Python, SQL, and relevant tools across diverse enterprise environments. Develop advanced Generative AI, agentic, machine learning, and business intelligence systems utilizing techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector databases, employing frameworks like Spark, LangChain, Databricks, and Airflow. Implement and maintain MLOps and LLMOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated evaluation, and infrastructure as code, across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Enforce data security and governance policies, managing sensitive information like PII/PHI, and ensuring role-based access control. Take ownership of technical workstreams, providing mentorship to junior engineers and championing best practices in software engineering. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into client systems, maintaining high standards of quality, performance, and security. Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
