- About Our Client
- Our client is a fast-growing technology company in the HR tech / SaaS space, providing solutions that help small and medium-sized businesses manage their workforce. Their Data & Analytics team is the company's data and AI center of excellence, partnering with every part of the business to turn data into decisions.
- About the Role
- Our client is growing their Data & Analytics organization and is hiring across several roles spanning Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Governance, Analytics Engineering, Data Science, and Strategy & Operations. This posting outlines the core expectations, qualifications, and ways of working that are common across these roles — specific responsibilities, team structure, and level will vary by position.
Depending on the specific role, you may be individually responsible for hands-on delivery, or you may lead and develop a team of analysts or engineers while remaining close to the work as a player-coach.
- What You'll Do
- Partner with stakeholders across Product, Finance, People, and Revenue to define data and analytics needs
- Design, build, or govern scalable data models, pipelines, dashboards, or reporting frameworks
- Champion data quality, documentation, and certification standards across the organization
- Bring an AI-native approach to your work — using modern tooling to accelerate analysis, development, and workflows
- Translate ambiguous business questions into structured, actionable analytical work
- Contribute to team-wide rituals such as All Hands, data demos, and quarterly business reviews
- For people-manager roles: hire, coach, and grow a team of analysts or engineers
- What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, data science, data governance, or a related field
- Strong SQL skills; hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
- Familiarity with modern data stack tooling: dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or equivalents
- Experience with a modern BI platform (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, with a bias toward pragmatic, iterative delivery
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical work for non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and a genuine interest in AI-native ways of working
- Experience with data cataloging/governance tools (e.g., Atlan, Alation, Collibra) is a plus for governance-adjacent roles
