  • Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX. The Data Center Project Manager will oversee end-to-end planning and execution of data center build-outs, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring that construction, installation, and commissioning activities meet safety, quality, and compliance standards. The role involves close collaboration with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to secure resources, resolve issues, and maintain clear project documentation and reporting. The Project Manager will monitor progress, mitigate risks, and continuously improve processes to support reliable, scalable data center operations aligned with Fluidstack’s AI infrastructure goals.
  • Qualifications
  • Project management skills in data center, construction, or infrastructure environments, including planning, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Technical understanding of data center systems such as power, cooling, networking, server hardware, and related infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams, with strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and documentation, including status reporting, risk tracking, and change management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present project updates and technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work on-site daily in Austin, TX, including occasional travel to regional facilities or partner locations as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, construction management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in data centers, cloud infrastructure, or high-performance computing environments is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or data center-specific credentials (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are a plus.
