- We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in OLTP database design, enterprise data modeling, and data architecture best practices.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performance transactional systems, defining enterprise data models, and ensuring data integrity, consistency, and governance across business applications.
- The candidate should possess deep knowledge of relational database systems, normalization techniques, logical and physical data modeling, and data architecture frameworks supporting complex business environments.
- Key Responsibilities
- • Design and develop enterprise-level data architecture for transactional (OLTP) systems.
- • Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements.
- • Define data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
- • Analyze business processes and translate requirements into scalable data structures.
- • Design highly normalized database schemas while balancing performance requirements.
- • Develop strategies for data integration, data quality, and master data management.
- • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, application teams, and database administrators.
- • Conduct data model reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
- • Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- • Support application modernization and digital transformation initiatives through effective data architecture.
- • Define metadata management and data governance practices.
- • Perform impact analysis for schema changes and data-related enhancements.
- • Provide guidance on database design, indexing strategies, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- • Mentor development teams on data modeling and database design principles.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills
- • Strong experience in OLTP database design and architecture.
- • Expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Models).
- • Strong understanding of:
- o Data normalization and denormalization techniques
- o Entity Relationship (ER) modeling
- o Database design patterns
- o Data governance and data quality principles
- • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as:
- o Oracle
- o Microsoft SQL Server
- o PostgreSQL
- o MySQL
- • Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
- • Experience with data modeling tools such as:
- o ERwin
- o ER/Studio
- o PowerDesigner
- o Enterprise Architect
- • Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, and database performance tuning.
- • Understanding of data integration and API-driven architectures.
- • Experience designing scalable and high-availability database solutions.
