• Role Description
• This is a full-time, remote Founding Engineer / CTO opportunity with a venture-backed technology company. Candidates must be based in North America or South America.

The role involves leading the technical vision, architecture, and execution of an AI-native platform focused on operational intelligence, forecasting, pricing optimization, and business automation. You will work directly with the founders to build and scale the company's core technology, make critical architecture decisions, and establish the engineering foundation for long-term growth.

This is a highly hands-on role where you will be responsible for building production systems, designing data architecture, developing AI-powered workflows and agents, integrating ERP platforms, and creating scalable infrastructure capable of supporting rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python
• Experience building and scaling production-grade software systems
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and database architecture
• Experience building AI-powered applications, AI agents, or workflow automation systems
• Experience integrating LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar platforms
• Experience designing data warehouses, reporting systems, and analytics infrastructure
• Experience integrating ERP systems and business applications
• Experience working with forecasting, pricing, inventory, demand planning, or operational optimization systems is highly preferred
• Experience in food supply chain, food distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or related industries is a strong plus
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and scalable backend architectures
• Strong product thinking and startup execution mindset
• Experience leading technical strategy, architecture decisions, or engineering teams
