Role - AIS Software Engineer/Data Logger

• L&T Technology Services in Mossville, IL seeks an embedded software engineer to design, implement, and validate AIS features on system benches and test beds. You will collaborate with Cat Electronics and EXD, support integration with Caterpillar production tools, and perform peer reviews and releases for production software.
• The role emphasizes bringing up new AIS and embedded applications, improving software quality, and aligning with business value through prioritization with systems teams.
• Qualifications
• ROS1/ROS2 Experience
• Debugger (Trace32 or any)
• 3+ years of C++ Programming Experience
• Automotive communication protocols (CAN/J1939/UDS)
• Ethernet protocol TCP/IP knowledge
• Perception sensor experience. Radar, Lidar, Camera, and Ultrasonics. Touch Display Infotanement experience
• Responsibilities
• Work with the systems teams to prioritize features, maintenance, and CPI activities based on business value for current production applications
• Design, implement, build, and validate AIS features on system benches and test bed machines
• Coordinate with numerous process partners in Cat Electronics and within the EXD product group
• Support application integration with Caterpillar production systems and tools (ET, diagnostics, platform software, common services, flashing, back office, SIS, PSPS, etc.)
• Perform peer reviews, merge and maintain software repos, production release software
• Support initial bring up and iterative feature development for new AIS and embedded applications for proof-of-concept demonstrations
• Identify areas of growth and improvement within the team and improve overall software quality
