## About the Role

Climate First Bank is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data solutions. The role will focus on building reliable data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and enabling advanced analytics and reporting across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure data services, advanced SQL, data integration, and modern data engineering practices. This role will contribute to the development of scalable data architecture while supporting data governance, security, analytics, and business decision-making.

### Key Responsibilities

#### Data Architecture and Integration

• * Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Logic Apps, and related Azure services.
• * Build and optimize ETL and ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• * Develop data models, data lakes, and data warehouses within the Azure ecosystem.
• * Use Azure Databricks for large-scale data transformations and analytics.
• * Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
• * Perform performance tuning across Azure SQL and SQL Server environments.
• * Integrate streaming and real-time data solutions using technologies such as Event Hubs, Kafka, and Azure Stream Analytics.
• * Support data governance, security, and compliance requirements across the data environment.

### Required Qualifications

• * Strong experience in data engineering and enterprise data solutions.
• * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• * Experience designing and implementing scalable ETL and ELT pipelines.
• * Strong SQL development and performance-tuning skills.
• * Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks.
• * Understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data architecture.
• * Experience integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
• * Knowledge of real-time or streaming data technologies such as Event Hubs, Kafka, or Azure Stream Analytics.
• * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• * Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

### Preferred Experience

• * Experience working with financial services or regulated environments.
• * Familiarity with enterprise data governance and security practices.
• * Experience developing advanced analytics and reporting solutions.
• * Experience with cloud-based data architecture and large-scale data transformation.
• * Familiarity with modern data engineering and integration patterns.

### Compensation and Benefits

The position may be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and equity in addition to base salary. Actual compensation is determined based on industry salary ranges, internal salary structures, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
