## About the Role
Prominence Advisors is seeking a Data Engineer with deep Snowflake experience and strong SQL and Python skills to design, build, and optimize data pipelines for leading healthcare organizations.
In this role, you will transform raw data from diverse sources—including EHRs, claims, APIs, and CRM systems—into clean, reliable, scalable, analytics-ready data structures. You will work closely with client architects and analysts while applying data engineering, DevOps, and cloud technologies to solve complex technical challenges.
The ideal candidate has operated production Snowflake workloads and understands how warehouse sizing, data modeling, query optimization, and pipeline architecture affect performance and cost.
### Key Responsibilities
- * Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows.
- * Develop data ingestion and transformation processes using Snowflake.
- * Transform data from EHRs, claims, APIs, CRM systems, and other sources into analytics-ready structures.
- * Optimize Snowflake queries, warehouse configurations, and pipeline performance.
- * Analyze query profiles, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- * Apply appropriate Snowflake warehouse sizing, scaling policies, and cost-management practices.
- * Implement data loading and ingestion patterns using COPY INTO, Snowpipe, external stages, and external tables.
- * Design efficient tables and leverage Snowflake performance features.
- * Implement Snowflake security models, roles, grants, and RBAC structures.
- * Develop transformation and orchestration workflows using technologies such as dbt, Streams and Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpark, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.
