ProSearch is hiring a Data Engineer near Portsmouth, NH who enjoys solving complex data challenges and building scalable data solutions. - What You'll Do
- As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of the organization's AWS-based data Lakehouse while supporting critical enterprise data migration initiatives.
- Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance data integrations across multiple business systems.
- Support the continued growth and optimization of an AWS-based data Lakehouse environment.
- Lead and contribute to complex data migration projects involving large datasets and multiple source systems.
- Extract, transform, cleanse, validate, and load data from on-premises and cloud-based platforms.
- Design and develop organized, reliable data marts that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration workflows.
- Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data processing performance.
- Support data quality initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to improve data governance and integrity.
- What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications
- Experience working as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, Data Integration Engineer, Database Developer, or similar data-focused role.
- Hands-on experience executing large-scale data migration projects involving significant data volumes and complex transformations.
- Strong experience working with AWS data services and cloud-based data platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL and database development, including query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Comfortable working with messy, incomplete, or inconsistent data and taking ownership of data cleansing efforts.
- Experience designing and building structured data marts for business consumption.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
