# Data Engineer & AI/ML Specialist, Mid Level (Remote)

Atmosera helps clients engineer, deploy, and operate cloud architectures and advanced technology services designed to deliver strategic business outcomes. The company is developing a next-generation AI-powered Electronic Health Record (EHR) MVP for senior and assisted living facilities.

## About the Role

The Data Engineer / AI/ML Specialist will own the design and delivery of data pipelines, AI/ML integrations, and supporting infrastructure for an AI-powered EHR MVP. The role focuses on healthcare document processing, data transformation, search indexing, LLM and RAG integration, predictive analytics, compliance AI, and secure cloud-based data solutions. The position works closely with solution architects, backend/API developers, and cross-functional product teams.

## Qualifications

  • * Hands-on experience with OCR, including Azure Form Recognizer or Azure Document Intelligence
  • * Experience processing unstructured data
  • * Strong Python programming skills
  • * Experience integrating LLMs such as Azure OpenAI using RAG patterns
  • * Knowledge of classification and regression techniques
  • * Understanding of healthcare data compliance requirements
  • * Proficiency with REST APIs
  • * Understanding of HIPAA and secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • * Familiarity with healthcare data formats and workflows such as HL7, FHIR, and eMAR
  • * Experience working in Agile, cross-functional product teams
  • * Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions from data ingestion through model integration and API exposure
  • * Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills
  • * Healthcare software development experience preferred
  • * Familiarity with vector search and semantic search preferred
  • * Experience with Azure Machine Learning preferred
  • * Experience with predictive analytics for healthcare outcomes preferred
