## About the Role

The Senior AI/ML Engineer will contribute to the development of scalable machine learning and AI products for the utility and energy industry. The role involves building ML software, reusable Python packages, AI pipelines, RAG and LLM integrations, agent-based workflows, evaluation frameworks, and scalable data-processing solutions. The engineer will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other cross-functional teams while supporting MLOps, testing, monitoring, and continuous delivery.

## Qualifications

  • * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • * PhD preferred
  • * 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying machine learning software products
  • * Strong Python programming skills
  • * Experience developing reusable packages and automation tools
  • * Familiarity with Databricks for scalable data processing and analytics
  • * Understanding of ML system design, model lifecycle management, MLOps, and scalable inference
  • * Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • * Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines
  • * Experience with distributed computing frameworks and machine learning packages
  • * Experience with relational and nonrelational databases
  • * Familiarity with generative AI tools and frameworks such as AutoGen, Hugging Face, LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex
  • * Experience with agentic AI systems, AI orchestration, or AI-assisted decision-making is an asset
  • * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • * Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • * Utility, power, or energy sector experience is a plus
  • * Deep knowledge of the Databricks technology stack for AI and data engineering is a plus
  • * Authorization to work for any employer in the United States or Canada
