Workforce Planning Business Analyst

The Workforce Planning Business Analyst plays a critical role in driving strategic workforce planning initiatives that align talent strategies with organizational objectives. This position partners closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, HR, and operational teams to assess current and future workforce needs, identify talent gaps, and develop data-driven workforce strategies. The role leverages advanced analytical skills, scenario planning methodologies, and workforce intelligence to support informed decision-making and ensure the organization is prepared to meet evolving business demands.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, workforce planning expertise, and the ability to translate complex workforce data into actionable insights that support organizational growth and performance.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement workforce planning processes and best practices that support organizational objectives and enhance business performance.
  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into actionable workforce plans.
  • Conduct workforce supply and demand analyses to identify talent gaps, workforce risks, and future staffing requirements.
  • Design and execute workforce scenario planning models to assess the impact of market conditions, business growth, economic trends, regulatory changes, and organizational transformations.
  • Analyze workforce trends, labor market dynamics, talent availability, attrition patterns, and productivity metrics to develop strategic recommendations.
  • Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to support workforce-related decision making.
  • Facilitate workforce planning discussions with leadership teams and business units to align workforce strategies with organizational goals.
  • Lead cross-functional workforce planning initiatives and large-scale projects that support business growth, operational effectiveness, and talent optimization.
  • Develop and implement new workforce planning processes, standards, tools, and operational frameworks that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create workforce dashboards, reports, and executive-level presentations that communicate workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor workforce planning outcomes and recommend adjustments to strategies based on changing business conditions.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, and other key partners to develop integrated workforce solutions.
  • Ensure workforce planning objectives support current and future business needs while driving organizational agility and scalability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing expertise on workforce planning methodologies, workforce analytics, and talent strategy.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, business analysis, workforce analytics, talent strategy, HR analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting complex workforce data and business trends.
  • Experience developing workforce forecasting models, scenario planning methodologies, and strategic workforce plans.
  • Advanced proficiency in workforce analytics, reporting, and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with leaders and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level workforce planning initiatives.
  • Knowledge of labor market intelligence, talent management, organizational design, and workforce optimization strategies.
  • Experience with workforce planning platforms, HRIS systems, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar technologies.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and senior business stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in workforce planning, analytics, or project management are preferred.
