Role Description
The Venture Capital Analyst is responsible for identifying, researching, and evaluating investment opportunities in startups and high-growth businesses. This role focuses on conducting market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring to support investment decisions and maximize long-term value creation.
You will analyze emerging industries, technology trends, and startup ecosystems to identify promising companies with strong growth potential. The role involves evaluating business models, competitive landscapes, market opportunities, revenue strategies, and scalability to assess investment attractiveness.
A key responsibility is building financial models, performing valuation analyses, and preparing investment reports and presentations. You will review financial statements, operational metrics, growth projections, and key performance indicators to support investment recommendations.
This position also involves participating in due diligence activities, including industry research, management assessments, market analysis, and risk evaluations. You will work closely with founders, entrepreneurs, portfolio companies, and senior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle.
In addition, the Venture Capital Analyst contributes to portfolio management by monitoring company performance, identifying strategic growth opportunities, tracking market developments, and supporting initiatives that help portfolio companies scale successfully.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of venture capital, private markets, and startup ecosystems
Knowledge of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis
Ability to build financial models and conduct investment evaluations
Strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills
