- A confidential public-sector client is working with multiple program areas to develop and enhance technology solutions that support housing and related client services.
- The project includes the development of browser-based application modules and integration with mobile-based systems. The solution will support a broad range of users, including organizations, property stakeholders, and individuals seeking appropriate housing and related services.
- The system is expected to support functions such as tracking agreements, registering available properties, matching individuals and families with available housing, tracking property inspections and utilization, and supporting applicable reimbursement processes.
- The solution will also support document imaging and integration with enterprise document repositories, as well as multilingual accessibility requirements.
- Tasks & Duties
- Develop system design specifications
- Develop and prepare documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
- Develop specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
- Develop structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
- Develop, compile, maintain and document configurations of databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
- Develop system documentation.
- Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
- Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques for new operational procedures supporting databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client-server systems.
- Develop detailed systems operations designs.
- Perform system design.
- Work with MIS staff, including managers, senior programmers, support staff and product managers, to plan program implementation, enhancements and changes.
- Create, test and maintain in-house applications.
- Design reports, audit trails/logs and security mechanisms.
- Provide assistance to MIS technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database or IT issue.
- Contact users or stakeholders as needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem.
- Provide general programming assistance to other MIS programmers/projects as needed.
- Perform testing and evaluation.
- Test programs and systems and integrate system modules.
- Develop, implement and monitor information technology quality assurance standards.
- Test applications as needed.
- Required Skills
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- Design and analysis for Windows-based and Web-based applications
- Designing document management systems
- Designing Active Directory-based security
- Designing telecommunications systems
- Designing workflow systems
- Designing payroll management systems
- Designing 3-tier applications
