Role Overview
Support business analysis activities on medium-to-large projects within a digital mortgage transformation program.
Apply advanced business analysis capabilities in complex situations and guide other professionals.
Own requirements delivery activities, including planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, management, and support.
Responsibilities
- Manage Agile ceremonies with the Product Owner and help decompose epics into user stories.
- Refine user stories with acceptance criteria, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, business rules, and data elements.
- Lead stakeholder analysis, collaborative refinement sessions, and requirements walkthroughs.
- Maintain reusable requirements documentation in Confluence and support application UI design.
- Document test scenarios, support developers through build and testing, and apply coverage analysis.
- Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of business analyst or business systems analyst experience.
- At least 2 years of experience on Agile projects.
- Experience independently gathering business and systems requirements.
- Experience with online banking or mobile banking.
- Knowledge of requirements methodology across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Experience with user stories, specifications, business context diagrams, and process maps.
- Experience on projects valued above $2 million.
- Experience facilitating groups of 20 or more stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree from a university.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, adaptability, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and gap analysis skills.
- Knowledge of requirements documentation and modeling tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, or Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous RBC experience.
- Experience with accessibility requirements or BDD feature files.
- Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis.
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification.
- Experience with digital mortgage projects, mortgage financing, or mortgage approval.
