We are seeking a highly motivated Snowflake/dbt/Power BI Analyst to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This is a hands-on role for a technically strong professional who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building scalable data solutions, and turning enterprise data into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Snowflake, dbt, Power BI, Python, data modeling, and enterprise data integration. You will be responsible for developing reliable data pipelines, creating enterprise semantic models, automating reporting processes, and delivering executive-level dashboards and KPI reporting. You will also have the opportunity to leverage modern AI-powered development tools, including Snowflake Cortex, Claude, and OpenAI Codex, to accelerate development, optimize code, troubleshoot data challenges, and improve productivity. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Qualifications

  • Snowflake
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Expert-level experience with Snowflake and advanced SQL optimization.
  • Extensive experience ingesting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple enterprise sources.
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake security, governance, performance optimization, and data-sharing capabilities.
  • Experience with Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and Zero-Copy Cloning.
  • dbt & Data Modeling
  • Expert-level experience with dbt for enterprise data transformation and modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of Star Schema and Kimball dimensional modeling.
  • Experience with incremental models, snapshots/SCDs, Jinja macros, packages, and seeds.
  • Experience implementing data tests, source freshness monitoring, documentation, and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong Git experience, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Power BI & Analytics
  • Advanced experience developing Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and KPI reporting.
  • Strong proficiency with complex DAX and advanced filter-context calculations.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and paginated reports.
  • Knowledge of Power BI workspace administration, Premium capacities, deployment pipelines, refresh management, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing Power BI performance using Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, and/or Tabular Editor.
  • Python & Automation
  • Advanced Python skills for ETL, data manipulation, automation, and integration.
  • Experience integrating with REST and GraphQL APIs and loading data into cloud storage such as Azure Blob Storage or AWS S3.
  • Ability to build fault-tolerant solutions handling API pagination, rate limits, errors, and retries.
  • Experience with Streamlit for internal applications and data tools.
  • Experience automating report generation and distribution using HTML/PDF, SMTP, SendGrid, AWS SES, or similar technologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience configuring and managing Fivetran connectors for automated data replication into Snowflake.
  • Experience with large-scale batch and streaming data ingestion.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, billing, financial, operational, and other core business applications.
  • Experience using generative AI tools to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot data and analytics solutions.
  • Professional Requirements
  • Highly self-driven with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from requirements through implementation and delivery.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
