Senior GIS Business Analyst

Trident Consulting is seeking a "Senior GIS Business Analyst” for one of our client in "Santa Ana, CA”. A global leader in business and technology services.

• Location: Santa Ana, CA (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)
• Pay rate: $35-$38/hr. on W2
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Contract (W2)
• Duration: 18 Months

• Ideal Candidate
• The ideal candidate has experience in GIS analysis, utility asset management, geospatial data validation, records remediation, and process documentation. Candidates from utilities, engineering, GIS, mapping, infrastructure, telecommunications, or asset management environments will be highly successful in this role.

• Job Summary
• We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support asset data research, geospatial analysis, and records remediation initiatives. This role will focus on validating utility asset records, conducting GIS analysis, identifying data discrepancies, and supporting system-of-record corrections. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, GIS, and documentation skills with experience working across cross-functional teams.

• Key Responsibilities
• Perform desktop geospatial analysis to identify missing pole assets and pole identification records
• Validate asset locations using ArcGIS Online, Map3D, Google Earth, LiDAR, and related mapping tools
• Research and identify missing or inaccurate records across enterprise systems
• Review field-captured photographic evidence and work order documentation
• Consolidate research findings and field evidence to support asset record corrections
• Analyze discrepancies between field conditions and digital asset records
• Develop recommendations for resolving data quality and asset record issues
• Prepare documentation to support system updates and data remediation efforts
• Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Support process improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and reporting

• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field
• 5–7 years of business analysis, GIS analysis, asset management, or data remediation experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering actionable recommendations

• Experience with SAP, SAS, ArcGIS, cGIS, or Records Management Systems
• Experience creating complex reports, dashboards, presentations, and process documentation
