Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
Work with relational databases, including Sybase, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
Analyze financial services data and investigate data discrepancies and quality issues.
Perform data modeling and support database-related development activities.
Use Unix/Linux shell scripting, Bash, and Python for data processing and automation.
Analyze API requests and responses using APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, and JSON data structures.
Define, validate, and implement data quality rules and controls.
Gather business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to translate them into technical solutions.
Follow software development best practices and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
At least 7 years of financial services technology experience, with knowledge of financial services data.
Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL development, including Sybase and PostgreSQL.
Strong SQL query-writing, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting, Bash, and/or Python.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.

Desired Skills
Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management experience.
Experience with Sybase, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL.
Familiarity with APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI for data analysis and validation.
Experience with data quality rules, data validation, and implementation.
Knowledge of JSON processing and parsing API responses.
Understanding of software design patterns and development best practices.
Experience working in Agile environments, preferably Scrum.
