About The Company
At Trinnex, we are dedicated to revolutionizing water resource management through innovative digital solutions. Our company combines advanced technologies such as sensor/IoT data, geospatial analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to develop smart, scalable systems that address critical water challenges. We serve public sector clients across the country, helping them optimize water supply and demand, detect leaks and anomalies, and improve water quality and resilience. Our mission is to create impactful solutions that ensure sustainable water management and protect vital water resources for communities and ecosystems alike.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join the Trinnex Security Team. In this pivotal role, you will operate at the intersection of cybersecurity and DevSecOps, ensuring the integrity and resilience of critical software systems that support water utilities and infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on securing the software development lifecycle by embedding security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and safeguarding applications deployed in water environments against evolving threats.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with engineering and development teams to implement advanced threat detection, vulnerability management, and secure development practices. Your efforts will directly impact the reliability and security of essential services, contributing to the organization’s overall security posture and ensuring the continuous, safe operation of water management systems.
You will lead incident response efforts for complex security events, conduct vulnerability assessments, and develop forward-looking threat intelligence strategies. Additionally, you will mentor junior analysts, support enterprise security initiatives, and help shape the future of cybersecurity practices within Trinnex.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, along with at least six years of relevant cybersecurity experience. Equivalent additional experience that is directly related will also be considered. Candidates should have a strong understanding of security frameworks, incident response processes, and regulatory environments. Experience with cloud-native workflows, infrastructure as code (IaC), and securing cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes is highly preferred.
Proficiency with vulnerability management tools like Mend for software composition analysis (SCA), open-source risk management, and remediation practices is advantageous. Hands-on experience with Terraform, automated provisioning, configuration management, and securing CI/CD pipelines will strengthen your application. Due to the nature of the role, some travel may be required, though this position does not involve regular travel commitments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced security monitoring, analyze complex alerts, traffic anomalies, and develop custom rules to detect emerging threats.
- Lead incident response efforts for sophisticated security events such as advanced persistent threats (APTs) and data breaches, including forensic analysis and root cause investigation.
- Design and execute vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and simulated attack scenarios across infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to remediate vulnerabilities, improve secure coding practices, and integrate security controls within the software development lifecycle.
- Review security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and security frameworks, leading remediation efforts as needed.
- Research and analyze advanced threat actors to develop proactive threat intelligence and defense strategies.
- Mentor junior cybersecurity analysts, fostering team development and capability enhancement.
- Support the development and implementation of enterprise security strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
