Senior Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst (Local to D.C. is preferred)

About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE REPORTING ANALYST role is designed to lead advanced information delivery and business intelligence automation initiatives. This position is responsible for designing, programming, and implementing complex reporting solutions using multiple data sources, contributing to the organization's ability to make informed decisions. The role plays a critical part in driving the technical strategy and ensuring the quality and security of business intelligence outputs.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and lead senior-level opportunities for information delivery and automation solutions.
• Provide expert technical input on reference data and integration strategies.
• Design, program, and implement complex portals and reports pulling data from multiple sources.
• Review code produced by less senior staff.
• Maintain expertise in WebFOCUS, Tableau, and other business intelligence tools.
• Estimate time and resources for projects and tasks.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of ten years technical and analytical experience in business intelligence projects.
• Experience with strategic development and complex financial systems, transactions, and data reconciliation.
• At least five years creating reports using business intelligence tools such as WebFOCUS and Tableau.
• Five years writing and reviewing code in SQL, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Skills in developing visual data representations and report layouts.
• Experience programming in RDBMS databases including SQL Server and Oracle.
• Familiarity with modern software design and development methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with testing tools, unit and integration test scripting, and methodologies.
• Knowledge of quality and security standards application.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
• Preference given to candidates local to the Washington D.C. area.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active public trust security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
