Senior IT Business Analyst – Contract Opportunity in Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid

• Stafingo is hiring a Senior IT Business Analyst on behalf of a confidential client in Ontario.
• We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to support technology initiatives, business transformation, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement within a complex enterprise environment.

• Position Details
• Role: Senior IT Business Analyst
• Location: Ontario -Hybrid, with up to 3 days onsite
• Contract: October 2026 – March 31st, 2027
• Extension: Potential extension of up to 253 business days
• Openings: 1
• Compensation: $75/hr T4 – $95/hr INC
• Public Sector Experience: Preferred

• Key Responsibilities
• Lead business and systems analysis activities for complex technology initiatives and organizational transformation projects.
• Engage with business, IT, and senior stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document detailed business and system requirements.
• Develop business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and related documentation.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology enablement.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, working sessions, and requirements walkthroughs with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams, vendors, and project delivery teams.
• Support solution evaluation and ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives, enterprise standards, and project requirements.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, developers, QA teams, vendors, and business SMEs throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support UAT planning, test scenarios, defect clarification, issue resolution, and business readiness activities.
• Maintain requirements traceability and support change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare status updates, analysis findings, recommendations, and presentations for project and leadership stakeholders.

• Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis or a closely related role.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting complex business and technical requirements.
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience with process modelling, workflow analysis, requirements traceability, and business process improvement.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a public-sector or large enterprise environment is preferred.
