About the Opportunity: The Senior Associate I, Portfolio Analytics plays a critical role in managing and transforming investment data to support portfolio analytics across core and alternative assets. This position ensures the accuracy and usability of data within quantitative models and reporting systems, directly contributing to the organization''s ability to measure and communicate investment performance and strategy.
3. Responsibilities:
- Capture and transform data from multiple sources into investment data warehouses.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics models for core and alternative assets.
- Support performance measurement, benchmarking, attribution, and look-through analysis.
- Build and manage dashboards and reports for investment committee and board materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data quality and alignment.
- Enhance data platforms and automate reporting processes.
- Provide analytical solutions for alternative and non-core investments.
- Support leadership in investment operations and reporting objectives.
4. Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or analytics within investment management or related financial sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, or Science.
- Strong skills in dimensional and data modeling, advanced SQL, and ETL pipeline development.
- Proficient in Power BI development, including Power Query, Dataflows, DAX measures, and dashboard creation.
- Skilled in data visualization techniques and Excel functions connected to Power BI.
- Knowledge of asset management, risk metrics, and performance attribution.
- Familiarity with alternative investment analytics (Commitments, NAV, IRR, TVPI, DPI) is advantageous.
- Ability to create technical documentation, assess project risks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with paginated reports, scripting tools, and programming languages such as VBA, SQL, Python is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
