About The Team
As part of the Revenue Billing Operations team, you’ll support the accurate billing of Zillow’s enterprise product suite across multiple systems. The team plays an important role in Zillow’s financial health and scalability by ensuring billing runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently while continuing to improve how the function operates through automation and system enhancements.
About The Role
This role is an opportunity to grow your career while helping improve and scale Zillow’s enterprise billing operations. You’ll partner with teams across Finance, Engineering, Sales, and Support to solve billing challenges that affect financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and the customer experience. You’ll bring strong billing systems expertise, process improvement skills, and a collaborative mindset to a team focused on precision, progress, and scale.
You Will Get To
- Execute end-to-end billing processes in Zuora, including recurring billing, adjustments, dunning, and preparation of invoices, credit memos, and debit memos.
- Manage complex billing workbooks in Zuora and Excel, including calculating billing ranges from sales orders and supporting accurate invoicing and reconciliation.
- Create and update subscriptions in Zuora to ensure alignment with customer agreements and billing policies.
- Manage billing case intake and triage in Salesforce, partnering with Sales and Support to resolve inquiries, escalations, corrections, and adjustments.
- Perform reconciliation and validation across billing systems, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with and provide guidance to an offshore billing operations team (BPO), ensuring consistent process adherence, quality standards, and timely delivery across shared billing workstreams.
- Partner with IT and Finance on billing system integrations and upgrades to improve billing accuracy and efficiency.
- Actively apply AI tools to billing workflows. Whether automating a reconciliation step, analyzing exceptions, or improving a validation process. Help the team adopt smarter ways of working.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $71,600.00 - $114,400.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B billing operations, with demonstrated success managing competing priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Required: Hands-on Zuora experience is essential for this role. This includes subscription management, invoicing workflows, and workbook management.
- Experience using Salesforce for billing case intake, triage, escalation tracking, and cross-functional issue resolution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills, with exceptional attention to detail across large datasets and complex billing scenarios.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex billing issues clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring others and collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Finance, Support, and product teams.
- Familiarity with tools and practices such as Sage Intacct, advanced Excel, Google Workspace, SOX-aware documentation, BPO partnership support, or applying AI and automation in billing or finance operations.
