Role Description
The Security Analyst is responsible for protecting an organization's digital assets, systems, networks, and sensitive information from cyber threats and security risks. This role focuses on monitoring security events, identifying vulnerabilities, investigating incidents, and implementing measures that strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture.
You will continuously monitor security systems, analyze alerts, and investigate suspicious activities to detect potential threats. The role involves assessing security risks, reviewing system logs, and identifying vulnerabilities that could impact business operations or data security.
A key responsibility is responding to security incidents by conducting investigations, documenting findings, and supporting remediation efforts. You will work closely with IT teams, engineers, and stakeholders to contain threats, improve security controls, and reduce future risks.
This position also involves performing vulnerability assessments, security audits, compliance reviews, and risk analysis activities. You will help develop security policies, procedures, and awareness programs that promote strong cybersecurity practices across the organization.
In addition, the Security Analyst contributes to continuous improvement by researching emerging threats, evaluating security technologies, and recommending enhancements that strengthen overall security resilience.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and information security concepts
Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and threat detection techniques
Ability to monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents
Understanding of vulnerability assessment and risk management methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of security monitoring tools and log analysis practices
Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements
Ability to identify and assess security risks effectively
Understanding of cloud security and modern IT infrastructure concepts
Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
