Reporting Analyst – Power BI / Tableau

We are seeking experienced Reporting Analysts to support a large-scale healthcare platform and data migration initiative.

About the Role

There are opportunities across two closely related reporting workstreams: Power BI / Operational Reporting – focused on internal operational, regulatory, and audit reporting. Tableau / Clinical Reporting – focused on healthcare and clinical reporting, with appeals and grievances experience being particularly valuable. Both roles will work extensively with data sourced directly from Snowflake and partner with business stakeholders, Business/Data Analysts, Data Engineers, QA resources, and other members of the migration team. The ideal candidate will bring strong reporting and data analysis skills and be comfortable doing more than simply building dashboards. These individuals need to understand the underlying data, validate reporting accuracy, recognize when results do not make sense, and investigate discrepancies as reports and data transition into the future-state environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Work directly with data residing within Snowflake.
• Use SQL to analyze, validate, and reconcile reporting data.
• Partner with business and healthcare stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, business rules, metrics, and expected outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Analyze underlying data to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with Business/Data Analysts and Data Engineers to understand source data, transformation logic, business rules, and data lineage.
• Validate existing and newly developed reports as data transitions from legacy environments into the future-state platform.
• Identify data and reporting discrepancies and work with technical teams to determine root cause.
• Participate in UAT, reconciliation, and report validation activities.
• Ensure reports accurately represent underlying healthcare data and business requirements.
• Communicate reporting issues and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience working with data in a Snowflake environment.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience developing reporting solutions against complex enterprise datasets.
• Ability to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful reporting solutions.
• Strong data validation and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to investigate unexpected results and identify potential data or reporting issues.
• Experience partnering with both business stakeholders and technical/data teams.
• Experience supporting complex reporting, data migration, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Required Skills

• Healthcare payer or health insurance experience.
• Experience working with healthcare claims or clinical data.
• Understanding of healthcare business operations.
• Appeals and grievances experience.
• Experience supporting operational, regulatory, audit, clinical, or compliance reporting.
• Experience rebuilding or migrating reports during a large-scale platform or data migration.
• Experience validating reports across legacy and future-state data environments.

• The projected hourly range for this position is $70-90/HR
