Our client, a premier international pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a skilled Quality Control Lead to join their night shift operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for maintaining the highest levels of safety and regulatory compliance within a state of the art laboratory environment.

In this capacity, you will oversee a team of QC professionals, ensuring all testing, sampling, and data verification meet strict production schedules. You will serve as a technical mentor, driving laboratory excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

  • 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily laboratory workflow and assign tasks to ensure testing timelines are met.
  • Provide coaching and technical training to staff to support professional development and performance.
  • Conduct routine and complex testing in accordance with established SOPs and cGMP standards.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues, including root cause analysis and the implementation of CAPAs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory safety through regular site walks and compliance checks.
  • Participate in audit preparations and represent the department during internal and external inspections.
  • Update and review technical documentation, including job aids and standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare performance metrics and present operational updates to senior management.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a highly regulated laboratory setting.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of a technical team.
  • In depth knowledge of cGMP, laboratory best practices, and quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on sustainable process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical data for various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Ability to work in cleanroom environments requiring full protective gowning and PPE.
  • Willingness to work weekends and supplemental hours as required by production needs.
  • Capacity to lift and move equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work around chemicals and in controlled temperature environments.
  • Compliance with strict gowning protocols, which includes restrictions on jewelry, makeup, and artificial nails in production areas.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is 71,800 to 112,860 per year. Actual offers will be determined based on the candidate's specific experience, education, and skill set.
