Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst Consultant to support enterprise application testing for complex healthcare technology projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in software quality assurance, manual testing, test planning, defect management, and IBM Curam testing. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, developers, and project teams to ensure software solutions meet business, functional, and technical requirements while maintaining high quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, QA processes, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, usability, stability, and negative testing.
- Design and support user interface testing and regression testing activities.
- Test software applications to ensure reliability, stability, functionality, and overall quality.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, isolate technical issues, and recommend effective solutions.
- Lead quality assessment activities to identify software defects, security vulnerabilities, and opportunities for application optimization.
- Design and execute automated testing scripts with appropriate oversight.
- Create and maintain quality assurance documentation, test reports, defect logs, and testing metrics.
- Maintain and manage defect tracking databases, documenting user feedback and recommended functional improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to improve application quality and performance.
- Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, inspections, and testing governance activities.
- Ensure compliance with established software testing standards, governance policies, and QA best practices.
- Document and support the development and execution of test scenarios, test cases, and testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical, Business, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education.
- 3+ years of experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and testing scenarios.
- 3+ years of experience developing and executing test cases within enterprise testing environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience testing IBM Curam applications.
- Experience creating test plans, QA processes, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation.
- Strong experience with manual testing, defect management, regression testing, and functional testing.
- Ability to communicate testing progress, defects, open issues, and testing gaps to development teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. SCDHHS 13073.docxDOCX
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting large enterprise or e-business systems.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare operations, preferably Medicaid.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience working in both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile software development environments.
- Technical and/or Project Management certifications are desirable.
- Experience supporting public sector or government healthcare technology projects is a plus.
