Role Description
The QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring software products meet established quality standards, functional requirements, and performance expectations before release. This role focuses on identifying defects, validating application behavior, and improving software quality through comprehensive testing and continuous improvement practices.
You will develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios to assess software functionality, usability, performance, and reliability. The role involves reviewing business requirements and technical specifications to ensure applications operate correctly and deliver a positive user experience.
A key responsibility is identifying, documenting, tracking, and verifying software defects throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to investigate issues, validate fixes, and support successful software deployments.
This position also involves conducting functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, API testing, exploratory testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). You will contribute to improving testing methodologies, quality standards, and software development processes to enhance overall product quality.
In addition, the QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst plays an essential role in maintaining software excellence by ensuring applications are stable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives and customer expectations.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance methodologies
Ability to create and execute detailed test plans and test cases
Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, API, exploratory, and UAT testing
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify, document, and track software defects effectively
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to analyze requirements and validate business processes
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
