- Role Description
- The Venture Capital Analyst is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and supporting investment opportunities in startups and high-growth companies. This role focuses on market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring to help drive informed investment decisions and maximize long-term value creation.
- You will research emerging industries, innovative technologies, and market trends to identify promising companies with strong growth potential. The role involves assessing business models, competitive landscapes, revenue strategies, market opportunities, and scalability to determine investment attractiveness.
- A key responsibility is building financial models, conducting company valuations, and preparing investment reports, presentations, and investment memorandums. You will analyze financial statements, operational metrics, growth projections, and key performance indicators to support investment recommendations.
- This position also involves participating in due diligence processes, including market research, management evaluations, risk assessments, and industry analysis. You will collaborate with founders, entrepreneurs, portfolio companies, and investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle.
- In addition, the Venture Capital Analyst contributes to portfolio management by monitoring company performance, tracking industry developments, identifying strategic opportunities, and supporting initiatives that help portfolio companies scale and achieve sustainable growth.
- Qualifications
- Strong understanding of venture capital, startups, and private market investments
- Knowledge of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis
- Ability to build financial models and conduct investment evaluations
