Project Manager - Data Center

Project Manager – Data Center / Mission Critical Construction

Frederick, Maryland | Up to $170,000 Base DOE + Vehicle Allowance | On-Site

Experienced in delivering complex construction projects? Looking for more ownership, bigger challenges and the opportunity to join a business with a rapidly growing data center portfolio?

I'm partnering with an established and expanding mission-critical engineering and automation business that's secured several major data center projects and is investing heavily in its construction delivery team.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who understands what it takes to deliver technically demanding construction projects, coordinate multiple trades and drive successful project delivery from preconstruction through commissioning and final handover.

This isn't simply a role overseeing schedules and contractors. We need someone who understands the construction process, can anticipate problems, manage technical challenges and take genuine ownership of project delivery.

What's on offer?

• Up to $170,000 base salary DOE, plus vehicle allowance and bonus
• Major data center construction projects in Frederick, Maryland
• Strong pipeline of secured projects and significant business growth
• Genuine autonomy and ownership over project delivery
• Opportunity to progress as the mission-critical division continues expanding
• Work alongside experienced engineering, automation, construction and commissioning specialists

What will you be responsible for?

• Taking ownership of complex BAS, EPMS and MEP-related construction projects from planning through commissioning and turnover.
• Managing project budgets, forecasting, schedules, procurement and change orders.
• Coordinating subcontractors, electrical and mechanical trades, engineers and commissioning teams.
• Overseeing site progress, construction sequencing, equipment delivery and critical project milestones.
• Working closely with General Contractors, clients and technical stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain delivery.
• Ensuring projects meet safety, quality, financial and commissioning requirements.
• Driving successful system startup, integration, testing and final handover.

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of project management experience delivering complex construction projects.
• Background within data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial construction or technically complex MEP projects.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, subcontractors, construction schedules and project delivery.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls or automation-related construction activities.
• Ability to manage projects independently, make decisions and resolve issues in fast-paced construction environments.
• Comfortable working five days per week on-site in Frederick, Maryland.

Previous data center experience is highly desirable but not essential.

We're particularly interested in speaking with Project Managers who have delivered water treatment plants, manufacturing facilities, industrial plant expansions, central utility plants or other complex mechanical and electrical construction projects.

What matters most is your ability to manage construction delivery, understand the technical challenges and coordinate the people, equipment and processes needed to complete a successful build.

Why consider this opportunity?

• The data center sector is growing rapidly, and this business has an expanding portfolio of projects and a clear need for experienced people who can help drive that growth.
• If you're looking to move into mission-critical construction, or you're already delivering data center projects and want greater ownership and long-term career opportunities, this could be an excellent next step.
