Our Compliance Engine transforms how Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) manage data and report on life-safety systems, simplifying compliance and strengthening public safety at scale.

BRYCER is seeking a highly motivated, hands on, and strategic leader to help drive the evolution of our data operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Data Operations will inherit a team of 20 and lead the department that is core to our business. The role will also oversee several critical processes and vendor relationships including notifications, mail room, call center, and data collections. This is an opportunity to have a major impact on fast growing organization that is a market leader in a mission-critical vertical. This role is responsible for refining the existing operations and enhancing them with thoughtful and proactive engagement. A good leader will be able dig in to processes and identify opportunities, use industry best practices and insights to create and execute plans, and augment and enhance quality and velocity with AI. This hire will be transformational to the business and will work closely with the COO and founders.

This role is ideal for an operations professional with 8-10 years of experience managing data collection and aggregation, data cleaning and enrichment, and using analytics to provide insights for internal and external stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a scrappy, roll up the sleeves mentality, and be passionate about the mission critical work Fire Departments do to keep their communities safe. They will be comfortable leading teams, leveraging emerging AI technologies to accelerate data operations, and improving processes from diagnosis to delivery. The right leader will bring an ownership mindset and will re-imagine Data Ops and make it key component of value creation by doing more with the +2 million reports we receive annually. This is an in-person role based in our Lisle, Illinois office and requires five days per week.

Success in first 6 months looks like:

• Create new processes to mine our proprietary database for valuable insights, that lead to revenue generating activities
• Work with internal and external teams to optimize and refine our mail and call center operations
• Establish new capabilities that support new service offerings and create value for customers
• Identify and acquire sources of data that we are not using today to further enrich existing data
• Partner with vendors to deliver AI agents that enhance existing processes data collection, cleaning, and enrichment

• Key Responsibilities
• Own BRYCER data operations end-to-end, including vendor spend & 20 FTEs
• Establish playbooks to build repeatable methodologies, address operational challenges, ensure scalability across all operations
• Partner closely with adjacent departments to ensure operations run effectively, streamlining processes and reducing ambiguity
• Build and maintain reporting infrastructure to measure operations performance and inform data-driven decisions for leadership
• Manage a growing team as the organization scales to serve additional customers, new segments, and explores new revenue opportunities

Requirements

• 8-10 years of business experience
• Demonstrated competence in analytics and leading teams of teams
• Experience building or scaling operations across multiple business functions
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast paced environment
• Willingness and ability to work in-person five days per week at the Lisle, IL office
