The ideal candidate will bring deep payroll expertise and a strong understanding of payroll operations, compliance, and reporting. This individual will serve as a bridge between payroll operations and the technical implementation team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the UKG system rollout.

**THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the payroll subject matter expert (SME) for the UKG implementation project, including configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and external UKG consultants to gather business requirements and translate them into system functionality.
  • Assist with data mapping, validation, and migration from legacy systems to UKG Pro.
  • Conduct parallel payroll runs to ensure accuracy and consistency between systems.
  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios and participate in defect resolution.
  • Support change management efforts including training materials, end-user support, and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide ongoing support post-go-live, including troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Analyze payroll processes and recommend automation or streamlining opportunities through UKG features.
  • Generate and audit payroll reports for accuracy and compliance, both pre- and post-implementation.

Required:

  • 3–5+ years of payroll experience in a mid-to-large-sized company.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) or other UKG platforms (e.g., Dimensions, Ready).
  • Experience with large-scale HR/payroll system implementations or migrations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data manipulation expertise.
