Role overview

RBC is seeking a Lead Business Analyst, Risk & Compliance for its compliance operations team.

The role analyzes, documents, and optimizes compliance processes across IT risk areas.

The position strengthens IT governance and audit readiness through gap analysis, recommendations, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the IT Risk Management Lifecycle across identification, impact assessment, and monitoring.
  • Document current-state processes and enterprise-wide IT standards across business lines.
  • Identify compliance gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Coordinate consistent application of compliance requirements across business units.
  • Develop business requirements for risk policies and compliance procedures.
  • Recommend dashboards and reporting infrastructure for executive and stakeholder visibility.
  • Analyze compliance enablement requirements and resolve blockers for technology projects.
  • Research AI and machine learning technologies for risk identification and compliance.
  • Conduct reviews and audits and recommend process and governance improvements.
  • Work with stakeholders, auditors, and regulators to define business solutions.

Must-have Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in business analysis, risk management, or compliance operations.
  • Experience documenting complex business processes across multiple departments.
  • Understanding of IT risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with compliance tools, audit workflows, and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to translate technical risks into business recommendations.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • CISA, CISM, or IIBA CBAP certification.
  • Experience with SDLC and IT architecture frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing compliance across multiple business lines.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
