Role Description The Junior IT Data Analyst will support data-driven decision-making by collecting, validating, and analyzing data from multiple systems and sources. This contract role is hybrid, based in Cincinnati, OH, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing reports and dashboards, assisting with data quality checks, documenting data requirements, and supporting senior analysts and technical teams on projects. The role will also involve identifying trends and issues in datasets, troubleshooting basic data and system-related problems, and communicating findings to stakeholders in clear, concise formats. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams in IT and business units to ensure accurate, timely, and secure use of information.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and provide actionable insights.
Foundational knowledge of information technology concepts, databases, and data structures; familiarity with data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or BI tools) is preferred.
Experience or aptitude in technical support and troubleshooting basic data or system issues.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, user-friendly language for diverse stakeholders.
Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting and adapt to evolving project priorities and technologies.
Experience with data visualization tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), or prior work in a consulting or IT services environment is a plus.
