- Position Overview
- We are seeking an IT Support Analyst to serve as a primary point of contact for incoming IT support requests and provide onsite and remote technical support to end users. This role is responsible for managing and resolving Level 1 support issues, documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions, and escalating more complex Level 2 and Level 3 issues when additional technical expertise is required.
The IT Support Analyst will support day-to-day technology operations including workstations, laptops, printers, user accounts, Microsoft 365, network connectivity, business applications, and other company hardware and software. The role will also support employee onboarding and offboarding, account provisioning, equipment deployment, basic endpoint and system monitoring, and assigned IT projects.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage, track, and resolve IT support issues using the company’s ticketing system.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems reported by users.
- Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, connectivity, and other technology-related issues.
- Assist users with configuring drivers, user settings, printers, peripherals, and approved applications.
- Install and configure approved software applications, including Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and other required business tools.
- Configure, deploy, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and telephony hardware.
- Escalate unresolved Level 2 or Level 3 issues with appropriate technical details, screenshots, error messages, troubleshooting steps, and steps to reproduce.
- Create and modify user accounts and provision access to approved internal, supplier, and customer systems.
- Process authorized access changes and permission requests.
- Prepare laptops, desktops, phones, printers, peripherals, and other required equipment for new employees.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access removal, and equipment recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of account provisioning, access changes, and equipment assignments.
- Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting involving LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and IP connectivity.
- Escalate network, server, security, or infrastructure issues requiring advanced troubleshooting.
- Support implementation and enforcement of company information security policies and IT standards.
- Contribute to IT projects including hardware deployments, software rollouts, office moves, upgrades, and other implementation activities.
- Coordinate with third-party suppliers, service providers, and vendors when troubleshooting or completing assigned IT work.
- Track vendor-related support issues and provide internal status updates as needed.
Qualifications
- Education
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
- Professional Experience
- At least six months to one year of experience providing IT support, helpdesk support, desktop support, or related technical support.
- Experience supporting users in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment is preferred.
- Skills
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common PC hardware.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and basic user administration.
- Familiarity with Active Directory or similar identity and access management systems.
- Basic understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, and general network troubleshooting concepts.
- Understanding of basic information security practices including password security, MFA, access control, phishing awareness, and protection of company information.
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, printer, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
- Strong customer service orientation and sense of urgency.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow established procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions in a support environment.
- Ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an IT team.
- Willingness and ability to travel between company locations as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- One or more years of IT helpdesk, desktop support, or infrastructure support experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 administration, and endpoint management tools.
- Familiarity with routing, switching, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with information security frameworks or standards such as TISAX or ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, ERP systems, MES, WMS, or other manufacturing business applications.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar certifications.
