Trident Consulting is seeking a "GIS Data Analyst” for one of our client in" Santa Ana, CA". A global leader in business and technology services.
- Job Title: GIS Data Analyst
- Location: Santa Ana, CA (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)
- Pay Rate: $33-35/hr on W2 (Inclusive all)
- Duration: 18 Months Contract
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst II to support Asset Data Research & Remediation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing field documentation, validating asset information, performing data analysis, and supporting system record corrections. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with Excel functions, documentation review, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Key Responsibilities
- Review field-captured photographic evidence and document key asset information.
- Consolidate research findings and field evidence to prepare documentation required for System of Record corrections.
- Review work order documentation and identify critical asset-related information.
- Validate pole asset locations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, Map3D, Google Earth, and Lidar.
- Perform data analysis, research, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Support data remediation efforts to improve data quality and accuracy.
- Gather, document, analyze, and interpret business and operational data.
- Assist with project documentation, testing, implementation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and IF statements.
- Experience performing quantitative analysis and data validation.
- Experience reviewing, organizing, and consolidating documentation.
- Experience working on cross-functional project teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or GIS-related disciplines.
- Experience with Records Management Systems such as SAP, ESRI ArcGIS, or SAS.
- Experience using ArcGIS Online, Google Earth, Map3D, and Lidar technologies.
- Utility, infrastructure, engineering, or asset management industry experience.
- Knowledge of GIS mapping and asset data management processes.
