The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) Aeronautics Division is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst 1 – Aeronautics Data & Field Support Technician to support airport pavement assessment initiatives. This hybrid position plays a vital role in image analysis, field support, drone operations, and administrative coordination, contributing to the development of innovative machine-learning solutions for airport infrastructure management.
- Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze high-resolution airport pavement images.
- Identify, trace, and label pavement cracks and defects according to TDOT standards.
- Perform quality assurance on image data and maintain organized tracking logs.
- Assist drone operations by serving as a Visual Observer during field activities.
- Support field documentation, photography, and data collection.
- Organize project documents, maintain databases, perform data entry, and provide administrative support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently after training.
- Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments.
- Valid driver's license preferred.

Work Environment

- Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM –4:30 PM
- CST7.5- hour workday
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of two in-office days per week, including Mondays.
Location Requirement
Candidates must be local to Nashville, Tennessee.Position requires reporting to the office at least twice per week and occasional travel to airport locations within the Nashville area.
