Join our esteemed Finance team as a Financial Analyst, where your analytical acumen and collaborative spirit will drive significant contributions in a dynamic professional services setting. This role offers the unique opportunity to work alongside attorneys, practice groups, leadership, and various departments to develop strategic pricing models, assess profitability, and deliver data-driven insights that enhance client value and foster the growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with attorneys to formulate pricing strategies and innovative fee arrangements that balance client needs with firm profitability.
- Construct comprehensive matter budgets and financial models for both hourly and alternative fee arrangements, such as fixed fees, capped fees, and more.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess staffing, leverage, realization, margins, and profitability.
- Analyze profitability and contribution margins across various levels including matter, client, practice, and firm.
- Support the pricing and budgeting aspects of RFPs, client fee negotiations, and business development opportunities.
- Generate and present monthly financial reports, highlighting attorney productivity, key performance indicators, and comprehensive analyses at multiple organizational levels.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations for senior management and other internal stakeholders.
- Utilize business intelligence and data visualization tools to identify trends and offer actionable recommendations.
- Educate attorneys on legal pricing best practices and utilize business intelligence tools effectively.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop client-centric budgets and alternative fee arrangements that enhance both client value and profitability.
- Incorporate generative AI tools to refine financial analysis, reporting, and data presentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two years' experience in legal pricing, financial planning and analysis, or a related financial analysis role.
- Exceptional skills in financial modeling, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and dynamic modeling.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools is preferred; Power BI proficiency is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exemplary judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A collaborative, client-service-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed.

The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, with the actual offer contingent on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location. An annual discretionary bonus may also be provided.
