1. About Our Client:

This organization operates within the finance sector, providing financial support and analysis to its divisions. It addresses the challenge of delivering clear, accurate financial insights and forecasts to support decision-making and operational efficiency across its business units.

2. About the Opportunity:

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the division through financial analysis and reporting. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial data during close processes, maintaining forecasts, and managing revenue stream analyses. The role contributes directly by providing actionable financial insights and supporting audits and special projects, which help inform strategic decisions.

3. Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships and provide excellent customer service to the business unit
  • Complete month-end and quarter-end close processes, including results analysis, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting for senior management
  • Track and analyze deferred maintenance, hardware, software, and professional services revenue streams
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate financial forecast for the business unit
  • Prepare audit requests and respond to queries during quarterly reviews and interim and year-end audits
  • Lead or support special ad hoc projects impacting various stakeholders within the organization

4. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Effective communication skills with experience engaging all levels of management
  • Solution-focused mindset with a desire to improve processes
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Professional financial designation or pursuit of one preferred
  • Familiarity with IFRS reporting, project accounting, and/or software revenue recognition preferred
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The potential salary range for this role is $48,000 to $55,000 per year, with eligibility for bonus or merit programs. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
