- Financial Analyst — Plant Finance & FP&A (Contract)
- Location: Houston, TX — 100% onsite, 5 days per week
- Rate: up to $32/hr
- Duration: Start on or about September 14, 2026 — approximately 7-week engagement through October 30, 2026
- About the Role
- Our client is hiring a Financial Analyst to support finance at a manufacturing plant in Houston, TX. This is hands-on plant finance — management reporting, budgets and forecasts, profitability and variance work, and ad hoc analysis pulled out of JD Edwards and Oracle for people who need the answer the same day. You’ll sit with the business rather than apart from it: operations, supply chain, and corporate finance are all in your week.
Be clear-eyed about the shape of this one. It’s a short, defined engagement — roughly seven weeks covering a specific reporting and forecasting cycle. It’s a strong fit if you’re a contractor between assignments or currently available and want plant-side finance on your résumé. If you’re looking to leave a permanent role for something long-term, this isn’t it.
Manufacturing or plant finance experience matters here. Building a forecast against a factory’s cost structure is a different exercise from corporate FP&A, and the people who do well in this seat have spent time close to a production floor.
- What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages for plant and business leadership
- Build and maintain budgets and forecasts, and explain the movement between versions
- Analyze financial performance, profitability, and variance to plan — and say what to do about it
- Support year-end close and compliance reporting
- Run ad hoc analysis in JD Edwards / Oracle and turn it into a recommendation, not just a report
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and corporate finance to keep the reporting accurate and the initiatives moving
- What You Need
- 2+ years in financial analysis, FP&A, cost accounting, or plant finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Hands-on ERP experience — JD Edwards (JDE) or Oracle
- Strong Excel: pivot tables, lookups, and models someone else can follow
- Able to work onsite in Houston, TX five days per week
- Available to start on or about September 14, 2026
- Nice to Have
- Finance experience inside a manufacturing or industrial plant
- Standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis
- Experience supporting year-end audit or compliance reporting
- Power BI, Hyperion, or comparable reporting and consolidation tools
