About The Role
The Financial Analyst II at CHRISTUS Health plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization's revenue cycle management through detailed data analysis and reporting. This position involves synthesizing complex financial and operational data from multiple sources to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, process improvement, and financial performance optimization. The analyst will collaborate with various facilities, corporate groups, and senior leadership to develop standardized reporting tools, benchmarks, and financial models that facilitate strategic decision-making. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve net revenue realization and cash flow at multiple levels—system-wide, facility-specific, and payor-specific. The analyst will also support the development and implementation of strategies aimed at enhancing revenue cycle efficiency and financial health, ensuring that initiatives are measurable and aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle analysis, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment and familiarity with revenue cycle processes is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support and manage existing revenue cycle reporting capabilities, ensuring timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Assist in standardizing goal-setting processes and monitoring productivity and performance metrics across facilities and departments.
- Collect, synthesize, and communicate relevant financial and operational information to support strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of benchmarking and comparative reporting systems for key revenue cycle metrics.
- Conduct financial opportunity assessments to identify areas for revenue enhancement and process improvements.
- Support strategic planning efforts by focusing resources on high-priority areas to improve cash flow and net revenue realization.
- Develop financial models and analysis tools to evaluate potential initiatives and their impact on revenue cycle performance.
- Assist in creating and monitoring performance measures linked to strategic goals, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives.
- Provide operational teams with analysis, tools, and insights to detect current and future performance issues.
- Foster relationships within the organization and externally to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Balance multiple tasks effectively using strong computing and organizational skills.
- Participate as a collaborative team member, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Analyze and prepare special projects as assigned, supporting the organization’s continuous improvement efforts.
