About The Role

The Financial Analyst II at CHRISTUS Health plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s revenue cycle management through comprehensive data analysis and reporting. This position involves synthesizing complex financial and operational data from various sources to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and process improvement. The analyst will work closely with senior leadership, corporate teams, and facility managers to develop standardized reporting tools, benchmarking metrics, and financial models that inform strategic decision-making. The role requires a proactive approach to analyzing revenue cycle performance, supporting initiatives to optimize cash flow, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of healthcare revenue processes, and the ability to communicate insights effectively across different levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, or a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage existing capabilities related to the standardization and consolidation of revenue cycle reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
  • Assist in establishing standardized goal-setting frameworks, productivity metrics, and performance monitoring systems across facilities.
  • Collect, synthesize, and communicate relevant revenue cycle data to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of benchmarking and comparative reporting of key revenue cycle metrics.
  • Conduct financial opportunity assessments at hospital and system levels to identify areas for revenue enhancement and cash flow improvement.
  • Support the strategic planning process by focusing efforts on high-priority areas to optimize financial performance.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring financial models that link strategic initiatives to performance measures, both financial and non-financial.
  • Provide analysis, tools, and insights to operational teams to enhance their ability to detect current and future performance issues.
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships to foster support for revenue cycle initiatives and stay informed on industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize advanced computing skills to balance multiple tasks and deliver accurate, timely reports.
  • Participate as an effective team member, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
