About The Role
The Financial Analyst II at CHRISTUS Health plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide and regional revenue cycle data analysis and reporting. The analyst synthesizes data from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and process improvement. Key responsibilities include standardizing management reporting, benchmarking, and data collection efforts to support strategic decision-making. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, corporate groups, and facility teams, to develop financial models and analyses that facilitate revenue cycle optimization. The Financial Analyst II will also assist in quantifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve net revenue realization and cash flow at multiple levels within the organization, contributing to the achievement of strategic financial goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, revenue cycle management, or healthcare finance preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data visualization, and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes and related regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence software.
Responsibilities
- Support and manage existing capabilities related to the standardization and consolidation of revenue cycle reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
- Assist in establishing standardized goal setting, productivity metrics, and performance monitoring systems.
- Collect, synthesize, and communicate relevant financial and operational data to support strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate development and implementation of benchmarking and comparative reporting of key revenue cycle metrics across the organization.
- Conduct financial opportunity assessments to identify areas for improving revenue cycle performance at hospital, system, and payor levels.
- Support strategic planning efforts by focusing resources on high-priority areas to enhance cash flow and revenue realization.
- Develop and monitor financial models linked to strategic initiatives to measure performance and ensure successful implementation.
- Provide analysis, insights, and tools to operational teams to help detect current and future performance issues.
- Build and maintain internal relationships within the corporate and facility teams to garner support for initiatives.
- Establish external relationships to stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize advanced computing skills to balance multiple projects and tasks effectively.
- Participate as a collaborative and contributing member of the finance team.
- Prepare and analyze special projects as assigned, providing actionable recommendations.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the organization’s financial objectives.
