About The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Risk Specialist (FRS) to join DataScan's Risk Management Operations Team. This is a field-based position designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and possess a passion for on-the-ground operational activities. As an FRS, your primary responsibility will be to execute high-stakes floorplan audits at various wholesale and retail dealer locations across your designated territory. Your role involves physically verifying inventory, inspecting dealership records, and leveraging advanced mobile audit applications to assess inventory legitimacy and risk.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage directly with dealership personnel, analyze complex data, and contribute significantly to the company's risk mitigation efforts. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of inventory records, ensuring compliance with legal and financial standards, and supporting the company's strategic objectives. The position requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in floorplan auditing, banking/financial services, automotive industry, customer service, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with dealership personnel and client representatives.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with mobile applications and record-keeping software.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel overnight (typically 3 to 5 nights per month).
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or equipment as required.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
  • Location flexibility, with a preference for candidates residing in South Indianapolis (Edinburgh, Martinsville, Mooresville, Greenwood, Bargersville, Franklin, IN).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth inspections of dealership inventories by verifying VINs and serial numbers on floorplanned units.
  • Engage with authorized dealership personnel to identify the disposition of missing or damaged inventory units.
  • Review and authenticate dealer records, including sale documents, titles, and Motor Vehicle Titles (MVTs).
  • Verify the status of Manufacturer's Statements of Origin (MSOs) and titles to ensure inventory legitimacy.
  • Record detailed audit findings and inventory statuses using the Ai mobile audit application accurately and efficiently.
  • Document dealership visits comprehensively, including observations and interactions.
  • Review audit results with dealership personnel, providing feedback and clarifying discrepancies.
  • Communicate audit findings, risk assessments, and potential issues to client representatives effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards during field operations.
  • Occasionally travel outside the local territory for special assignments or audits as needed.
