This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Ecommerce Product Catalog & Research Analyst based in Canada.
This role focuses on maintaining a reliable, accurate, and up-to-date ecommerce product catalog within a technology-focused marketplace. You will research newly launched IT and technology products, gather information from trusted sources, and turn complex specifications into complete, customer-ready listings. The position combines product research, data management, catalog quality, and competitive intelligence. You will work extensively with ecommerce platforms and AI-powered research tools to improve the speed and accuracy of information gathering. Attention to detail will be essential when validating pricing, specifications, product identifiers, descriptions, and imagery. Your work will directly support product discoverability, marketplace quality, and informed purchasing decisions.
Accountabilities
- Research newly launched technology products using official manufacturer websites and other reliable sources.
- Create and manage detailed product listings on Magento or similar ecommerce platforms, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
- Maintain product data including manufacturer numbers, pricing, technical specifications, descriptions, product imagery, and other relevant attributes.
- Regularly review and update existing listings to reflect new models, specification changes, and pricing updates.
- Conduct catalog audits to identify missing, inconsistent, outdated, or inaccurate product information and implement corrections.
- Ensure product data follows established quality standards and marketplace requirements.
- Use AI-powered research and data extraction tools to collect, validate, and organise product information efficiently.
- Monitor competitor websites and product offerings to identify technology trends, market changes, and positioning opportunities.
- Manage multiple research and catalog activities simultaneously while meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy or consistency.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing products on Magento or a comparable ecommerce platform.
- Strong research and analytical abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with AI-powered research tools, data extraction methods, and technology-assisted information gathering.
- Good understanding of technology products, including IT hardware and software, cloud solutions, AI technologies, and related products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to document and manage product information clearly.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented ecommerce environment.
