Role Description The Data Storytelling Strategist is a part-time remote role focused on translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external stakeholders. This role includes analyzing data from various sources, identifying key trends and insights, and developing visual and written stories that support business decisions and strategic initiatives. The strategist will collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership teams to create reports, dashboards, presentations, and data-driven content aligned with company goals. Daily responsibilities involve organizing data sets, validating data quality, selecting appropriate visualizations, and ensuring that insights are communicated in an accessible and actionable way. The role also involves recommending data storytelling best practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of analytics and reporting processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills for interpreting complex data sets and extracting actionable insights.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for problem-solving, trend identification, and evidence-based decision support.
Candidates should possess Data Management capabilities for organizing, cleaning, and maintaining accurate and reliable data sources.
Candidates should possess Data Modeling skills for structuring data, defining relationships, and supporting scalable reporting and analytics.
Candidates should possess proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and spreadsheet or BI software.
Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to convert technical findings into clear, audience-appropriate narratives.
Candidates should possess the ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time schedules, and meet deadlines.
Candidates should possess a relevant educational background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
