About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Developer VI to join our team at Spectrum. This pivotal role involves leading the design, implementation, and enhancement of sophisticated data architecture projects that support our business intelligence objectives. As a Data Developer VI, you will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams, developing scalable data solutions, and ensuring the integrity and security of data across multiple platforms and environments. Your expertise will drive automation, streamline data workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and the ability to lead complex projects from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that align with our technical demands and organizational values.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, operations research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in ETL processes and data integration.
  • Proven expertise with SQL, Shell Script, Python, and JSON, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong background in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alterx, or Microstrategy.
  • Extensive software engineering experience, including data modeling, architecture, and development.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data processing infrastructures and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independent research, analyze complex data sets, and develop innovative solutions.

Additional skills include excellent communication in English, problem-solving capabilities, and experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and various data sources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of data services, including data movement infrastructure and automation processes.
  • Oversee and audit programming tasks such as error handling, data manipulation, and input/output processing to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and optimize database concepts, including defining schemas and query languages to support scalable data solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data warehousing and processing systems.
  • Guide and coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal staff, vendors, and external partners, to deliver end-to-end data solutions across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Develop reporting processes, programs, and visualization solutions adhering to established standards and best practices.
  • Assist development teams in implementing data capture requirements that address specific business questions and outcomes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow and resolving issues promptly.
