Data Architect

Our teams work hands-on with clients to automate complex processes across a range of systems, from modern applications to legacy environments. A significant portion of our work is within the public sector, where we help government organizations streamline high-volume processes, improve data quality, and modernize critical operations through automation and AI.

We are looking for a Data Architect to support a major public sector modernization initiative focused on data, automation, and AI enablement. In this role, you will work directly with stakeholders to understand existing data environments and business processes, design scalable data architectures, and establish the data foundation needed to support dashboards, data products, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. Experience with Palantir Foundry/Envision, particularly its data integration and ontology capabilities, would be highly valuable.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with stakeholders to understand existing data environments, processes, challenges, and modernization goals.
• Design scalable data architectures that support analytics, dashboards, data products, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Define how data should be structured, integrated, governed, and made accessible across different systems and business functions.
• Design and develop data models, ontologies, and integration patterns that create a strong foundation for downstream solutions.
• Help improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and interoperability across multiple data sources.
• Translate business and mission requirements into practical technical architectures and implementation approaches.
• Provide technical direction to developers, engineers, and other members of the delivery team.
• Remain hands-on in solution design, architecture, troubleshooting, and implementation rather than operating solely in an advisory capacity.
• Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
• Help establish architectural standards and best practices that can scale as the modernization effort grows.

What We're Looking For

• Strong professional experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience designing enterprise or large-scale data architectures.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, data pipelines, and modern data platforms.
• Experience designing or working with data ontologies, semantic models, or similar approaches to organizing complex data environments.
• Experience integrating data from multiple systems and improving data quality and usability.
• Ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into clear technical solutions.
• Experience providing technical leadership and architectural direction within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to work directly with customers.
• Comfortable operating in a consulting or delivery environment where requirements may evolve and solutions need to be practical and actionable.
• Ability to balance high-level architectural thinking with hands-on technical involvement.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Palantir Envision.
• Experience developing or designing solutions using Palantir Ontology and Foundry's data integration capabilities.
• Experience supporting data modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise analytics initiatives.
• Exposure to AI/ML, generative AI, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience designing data architectures that support both traditional analytics and emerging AI use cases.
• Previous experience supporting government, defense, or other complex enterprise environments is beneficial.
